GRP lining is a glass reinforced plastic waterproofing applied to tanks, sumps and wet pits, building up into a hard, seamless, chemical resistant shell that holds water under pressure and resists abrasion better than a coating alone.
A water tank or a wet pit takes constant water contact, pressure and sometimes chemical exposure. A soft coating can struggle there. GRP builds a rigid bonded shell reinforced with glass matting, which is why it is used where durability and a truly seamless finish matter.
Where GRP lining is used
GRP lining suits potable and non potable water tanks, sump pits and drainage pits, wet wells and plant room tanks, and any vessel that needs a hard, seamless, cleanable waterproof surface. It is chosen where a coating would wear or where the seamlessness of a moulded shell is worth the extra work.
How the lining is built
We prepare the substrate to a sound, clean surface, prime it, then lay resin and glass reinforcement in layers that bond into one continuous shell, with the corners and penetrations reinforced. A topcoat gives the cleanable finish. The vessel is then filled and held to confirm it retains before it is handed back.
