Dr Fixit, Mapei, Terraco, Polybit, Sika and Fosroc all make strong products, and the failures we investigate almost never come down to the brand.
Most waterproofing failures we are called to trace back to preparation, detailing or the wrong system for the location, not to a bad product. A premium membrane on an unprepared slab still fails. Why we stay brand agnostic
Tying every job to one brand forces the wrong product onto some sites. A tank, an exposed roof, a tiled bathroom and a leaking basement crack each want a different system, and no single manufacturer is the best answer to all four. Selecting across brands means each job gets the product suited to it, applied to the manufacturer's specification, and backed by the Watertight Warranty on the installed scope.
What actually decides the result
Surface preparation, correct detailing at upstands, drains and penetrations, the right system for the exposure, and a flood test before the work is covered. Those four decide whether a waterproofing job holds. The brand on the bucket is the last variable, not the first, which is why we diagnose before we specify.
